Blogmas Day 11- Ten Man-Approved Christmas Gift Ideas for your Boyfriend (Even If You’re On a Tight Budget!)

Let’s face it, most men are notoriously tough to shop for. Maybe they’re simple, or just not as good as dropping hints as we are. Right, ladies? 😉

I’ve been with my boyfriend/fiancé for over five years, and in that time I’ve had my fair share of hits and misses when it comes to giving gifts. (How was I supposed to know he preferred zip-up jackets over hoodies? Haha.)

Today, I want to save you from all of that uncertainty when it comes to buying your man a gift this Christmas. I’m sharing ten gift ideas for the man in your life that are sure to please even the pickiest of guys. Trust me, my fiancé, Kasey, was kind enough to help me make this list, and he’s one of those guys who has everything and is hard to shop for!

  1. Yeti Rambler
The Yeti Rambler is one of those gifts that you just can’t go wrong with. This double-insulated cup keeps your drink cold all day (or hot all day depending on what you’re drinking), and holds 30 ounces which is large enough to hold a good amount of liquid. I’ve even heard that Yeti Rambler’s keep ice from melting for over 24 hours! It’s designed to not sweat and make a mess when you set it down, and is dishwasher safe and BPA-free. I think I’m going to have to get a Yeti Rambler for myself, too! 😉
  1. Beard King Beard Bib
I don’t know about you guys, but when my fiancé shaves or trims his beard, hair gets EVERYWHERE. It drives me crazy and takes a long time to clean up. Trying to find a solution to the mess, I found the Beard King Beard Bib. The Beard Bib goes around your man’s neck and suction cups to the mirror, leaving all the trimmed hair to fall into the bib. When they’re done shaving, they just empty the bib into the trash and there’s no mess! Why didn’t someone think of this earlier??
  1. Casual Button Down Shirts
Most guys can never have too many casual button down’s. They’re a wardrobe staple and pair well with any type of jeans. My fiancé wears a lot of plaid and solid button down’s, as long as they’re not too dressy or formal. Kasey likes to get his shirts at Buckle and Target, which makes things pretty easy for me! As long as you know your boyfriends’s size and pick something pretty basic, you can’t go wrong with button them.
  2. FitBit
Does your guy have a FitBit yet? If not, he should! FitBit’s track your daily activity in steps, distance, calories burned, floors climbed, and active minutes and hours. You can even set reminders that encourage you to get up and move more- something that is great if you have a sedentary desk job. FitBit’s also track sleep and sync to your smart phone so you can track your activity from there. From personal experience, I would recommend the Charge 2, or any FitBit that has a band with a clasp. The regular FitBit bands without the clasp (like the Flex and the Alta) tend to not stay on your wrist as well over time as the snaps loosen.
  1. Running Shoes
Kasey goes through running shoes so fast you’d think he was a marathon runner. Which means an extra pair is always a safe bet. Your man could probably use another pair, too! Unless you know if he’d prefer a brighter color, stick with basic colors like black or grey, and you’re good to go.
  1. Cologne
Let’s be honest, this is mostly for us girls, isn’t it? 😉 We like our men to smell good, and cologne makes a perfect gift! Kasey’s favorite is Abercrombie & Fitch’s Fierce, which is a musky sandalwood and marine breeze scent. It is heavenly.
  1. Portable Speaker
The Amazon Tap Portable Bluetooth Speaker is on Kasey’s wish list this year! This is one of the few portable speakers that connects over Wi-Fi, and has a feature called Alexa which lets you ask for music to be played, check the weather, or even order a pizza according to their website. So basically, it’s like Siri inside a portable speaker. The Amazon Tap has great reviews on both sound quality and battery life- boasting 9 hours of use inbetween charges! And it’s on sale right now for $40 off the original price! #score
  1. Car Detail Service
If your guy is one of those men that has it all, consider getting him a voucher for a service he needs instead, like a car detail. There are a lot of car shops out there that do car detailing specials for a great price, especially if you purchase the service through something like Groupon. An interior car detailing service includes cleaning out all the trash, vacuuming meticulously, removing stains from seats, etc., until it looks like a brand new car. My fiancé got a car detail voucher for Christmas a couple of years ago, and it was one of his favorite gifts!
  1. Tile Mate Anything Finder
Does your man lose his keys a lot? Mine too! This year, he’s getting a Tile Mate Anything Finder for Christmas. The Tile Mate is a small keychain that attaches to anything you don’t want to lose so you can quickly find it when you need it. It pairs with your phone so that you can make the Tile Mate ring when it’s nearby but out of sight. And if your man loses his phone a lot, he can just double press the Tile Mate to make his phone ring, even if it’s on silent!
  1. Alpha Fit Men’s Clarisonic
I’ve used my Clarisonic for years and absolutely love it. It does wonders for my skin and keeps my breakouts to a minimum. When I saw that Clarisonic came out with a men’s cleaning device, I knew I wanted to get one for Kasey! The men’s Clarisonic brush is designed specifically for men, as they tend to have thicker and more oily skin. It removes dirt, sweat, and oil from skin and allows him to get a closer shave from the daily cleansing.

Don’t have much of a budget for Christmas gifts this year?

I totally understand. I’m on a college budget myself! Here’s two Christmas gift ideas that are super cheap:

  1. Open When Letters

I originally saw this idea on Pinterest, and decided to make them for my fiancé last year. Basically you write a bunch of letters for different scenarios like “Open When You Need a Laugh” or “Open When You Had a Bad Day.” Needless to say, they were a hit and were super affordable to make since the only things I needed to buy were envelopes and paper.

  1. Christmas Date

Another affordable gift idea is to take your boyfriend on a Christmas date. Bundle up and go get some coffee or hot cocoa and take a walk through your city’s prettiest light displays and just enjoy your time together. You don’t need to spend a lot of money to have a memorable and great holiday date!

I know how hard it can be to shop for your significant other, so I hope these man-approved gift ideas were helpful to you!
